and another thing, how would you hide posts which are for members who are members of certian groups. some posts are private, and for those members of specail groups only. is there a way to only show what topics and posts are public?

You can use "Exclude forums" to exclude posts from selected forums. Doing it with permissions is impossible (OK, maybe it's possible, but with 6 or more MySQL queries).

Latest announcments will be a part of 0.8.0.
