I had this mod on my forum back in May of 2010. I just updated to the latest version and made all the appropriate edits and now I am having issues. Hopefully someone can resolve this for me.

1. When you visit the site as a guest on a standard browser, the site shows like its should. But, when you login it redirects you to the mobile site and not the standard version.

2. I edited the mobile site_detect.php: iPad to "false" so that the iPad shows the standard version. But again, when you log in you still get redirected to the mobile version.

I noticed in your style 3 (mobile style) you had a dropdown for the default style.
It didn't use the link style=4 or style=1 for the link. I'd like to see what you used there.

In your new mobile style 4 the header logo image was not set to the correct size.
It looked fine in style 4 though. But anyways...

In the includes/mods/mobile_detect.php file try taking the ipad out of the array list completely.
Did that style switcher you had set cookies? Clear your cookies in your ipad after your edits.
Clear the server cache and refresh your ipad browser maybe. Check those few things and see.

If the mobile detect script isn't sending your ipad to the mobile style then it has to be something else.
You can look at your ipad browser info in the Whos Online page. Look at the whole line.
Anything in that line that is listed in one of the array list can direct your ipad to the mobile style.

I think we took the ipad out of the array list here. Can you login here and go to the default style?

yes, I used the "Prime Quick Style" mod for that. It actually never worked though. I just removed all code from the Prime Quick Style Mod from all files, purged the cache, cleared cookies, cache, data and reset browser and still having the same issues.

I don't think the problem is with the iPad array because the same thing happens when using FireFox, Safari, IE, etc. When logged out, everything shows like it should. As soon as you log in is when it directs you to the mobile version no matter what you are using. I have tried clearing the data, cache and cookies from the iPad as well as my browsers and that didn't work.

I logged in with the iPad on STG website and it took me directly to the mobile version using Safari for iPad. I then used "Atomic Web Browser" for iPad (in which I faked using FireFox) and accessed STG site and was brought to the standard version just fine. Then used the same method on my site with no luck, was redirected to the mobile version.

I am still using 3.0.7 PL but I don't think that is the issue. Thanks for your help

You know, come to think of it... I took ipad out of the array list here awhile back and committed it, but I don't think we have ever uploaded it to our server. So the ipad may still be listed in the includes/mods/mobile_detect.php here. I'll have to wait until I can get back to my computer and check everything out. I will have to look at the detect script to see what may be causing this and why you can't disable the ipad in your script. But it does stem from that mobile browser detect script.

All is well. I have everything working as I need now. Well, except the header image size lol

Two quick questions:
1. If I wanted to let users navigate from the mobile site to the standard site, what would you choose as the best method?

2. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask a fellow tactical guy I work for Blauer Tactical Systems and one of my jobs is to run their PDR forum. http://pdrcoaches.tonyblauer.com I would love to add this mobile site to that forum as well. Problem is I really want to match the dark theme. Would you be able to help me out with the style sheet so I know what exactly to change. I would REALLY appreciate it.

Do you have a localhost setup using Xamp? You could play with the colors there first before going live.
I could see the mobile style using those colors and maybe a little of that layout with side borders.

Not sure what xamp is. I have my own server through blue host that I can use for hosting but would need some guidance with this xamp.

I put a link to use the full style instead of Mobile Style. My problem is that everytime a user using a mobile device click on a forum link page (example: I put a link for user to get to Sudoku Page, Form Page, Aboutus Page, and Rule Page in the Forum Index) instead of a menu item. Everytime a user click on these links, it takes them back to the Mobile Style. How can I fix that. All these pages are custom pages made by me, except for Sudoku.

So really the problem is that I have a link on index to browse with the full style but as soon as a forum or sub-forum link is click it reverts back to the STG mobile style. Any links that are created using the ACP and choosing Forum Style - Link, reverts back to the STG Mobile Style while browsing with a mobile device. Is there a way to fix that?

I'm not sure how you are linking to the regular style in your mobile style. Maybe like {U_INDEX}?style=1
I view the regular style here on my HTC mobile like that... index.php?style=1
Every link I click on... keeps me in the prosilver style.

Have you tried adding the links to your custom pages in the includes/functions.php file?
Let's say your About Us page has a link like aboutus.php

In the includes/functions.php you make a link like...

Then maybe your link {U_ABOUTUS} will add the ?style=1 to your link when clicked and will keep you in the full style.

We set this up to do all of our testing of MODs and Styles before going live with anything.
This is nice for playing around with anything before messing up your live site with something that doesn't work out.

Sniper_E, I was wondering if you have the original install directions as I have an old mobile site that I want to update to the new mobiles detection for the icons and such and it was removed from the first post. Any help would be great.
