That is weird, not one hiccup here and everything works out of the box. I'd guess you've got a hardware incompatibility somewhere. Which would be strange but I doubt there's another explanation! The laptop I acquired is from Dec 2008/early 2009 ish.

Odd thing is that every other distro works fine.
