um i had uploaded all the files and made the database table
but its not showing up :| in the UCP
do i need to edit any files ?
cause in the instructions it dosent say to edit any files

There are 2 different versions of this MOD,

• One that installs as a separate UCP module (or page) - no file edits
• The other is embedded into the UCP main page - need to edit files

I assume you used the instructions in install.xml (the file in the main folder) because that has no instructions for file edits. Now you'll need to create a UCP module for the notepad. Go to ACP > System > Module management > UCP and create the new module for UCP Notepad, it should appear then.

Is there any way i can make a separate page for this mod ?? i mean a notepad on a new page where any user can leave notes. a link to the notepad will be available in the navbar.

Yes you can do that - you have to install it as a separate module in order to do so. See this post. Just follow the instructions in the install.xml file which is in the main folder.

i can have a "notepad" page where any user ( or selected group of users ) can come and leave notes. ??

and further, even the ability to create different notepad pages for different group of users. ??

I know that just by editing this mod a little, i can get what i want... wish i knew a little coding myself . .

This provides a private notepad to every user in their control panel - people could use it to write a short note for themselves or something similar; UCP notes are not shared with any other users.

Is it possible to make the notepad page viewable to all users ?? instead of making it private ..

i.e a common notepad page or a notice board for all users to use ..

It is possible, but I think you'd be better served by some other add-on that has been built expressly for that purpose. I suggest you look for a notice board type MOD for this
